The Louth AC Senior and Junior members have had a successful summer of road running and track & field with some cracking performances and several Personal Bests (PBs).

With the track season coming to an end at the end of September 2017, 9 members took the opportunity to compete in the final match of the Humberside Track & Field League held on Saturday 2nd September 2017 at Quibell Park, Scunthorpe.

Veteran

Kerry Stainton ran a controlled race in a mixed gender race in the unusual track distance of 2 miles and was rewarded with a great time of 13 min 20.2 running the first mile in 6 min 28 secs.

Under 15 Boys

4 wins out of 4 between Caleb Stephenson and new member Lloyd Buck. Caleb continued his excellent season with a fine win in the 800 metres by 29 seconds in 2 min 13.9 and a competitive run race in the 300 metres win 41.1 seconds.  Lloyd won the 200 metres in 27.6 in a close finish by .2 of a second and ran a fantastic time in the 1 mile win with 5 min 24.9.

Under 15 Girls

Hannah Reid won the 1 mile in a time of 5 min 53.7 and 9th Long Jump 3m 17.  Freya Plaskitt – 5th 800m 2 min 52.1 just outside her PB.                     Kandi-Alexis Austin –  800m 7th in 3 min 27.2, Long Jump 10th 3.00 metres and a PB in Shot Putt with 3.64.

Under 13 Girls

Evie Brooks had a strong run in the 800m taking the lead and winning by 9 seconds in 2 min 44.5, 200 metres 4th in 32.1 and a 6th place in the Shot Putt in a new PB of 5.77.          Sophie Henderson had a competitive race in the 70m hurdles just losing form in the final stages to finish 3rd in 15.4, 13th Long Jump 2.95 and 7th Shot Putt 5.13.

Under 11 Girls

Evie Kendrick had a brilliant competition with 2 wins – 80 metres Heat 1 – 12.3 and  150 metres Heat 1 – 23.8 in exciting close races and a 6th Long Jump 2.97.
