You don’t have to be a serious runner. You can walk\, jog or run. \nThe race starts at Market Rasen Racecourse (but you don’t need to be a thoroughbred to enter!) before going onto Legsby Road then onto Dog Kennel Wood. Runners\, Joggers and Walker will then complete a loop of the woods\, with the surface changing from road to grass and some uneven surfaces\, before going back onto Legsby Road and then back in to Market Rasen Racecourse to the finish. \nWhether you are running for fun\, a charity or practically pro! we offer a race on closed roads\, cleared tracks through ancient woodland and grassed paths. The route includes a few hills to offer a small challenge around the course in some of the most scenic Lincolnshire countryside. \nThe Autumn colours should make this a race to remember in this natural area of beauty. \nThe Market Rasen 10k Race will be electronically timed \nRace numbers and your timing chip can be collected on the morning of the race between 10:00am and 12:25 pm. Or you’re training for a half marathon? Then the Tough Ten is for you! \nThe course takes you on a ten-mile route through rolling chalk uplands and steep\, wooded valleys in the heart of the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds\, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. \nThe Tough Ten race is in its 35th year and Caistor Running Club\, known for the ever-popular Sting in the Tail 10K\, are proud to be its new hosts. We succeed Tape2Tape and the Wolds Vets Running Club who are lending their wealth of experience for a smooth transition to ensure the race remains a local favourite. \nEntry is just £15 affiliated (£17 unaffiliated) and includes a Lincolnshire sausage sandwich and of course a race memento to take away with you.
