DESCRIPTION:Start & Finish (HQ / Registration) \nWalesby Sports & Social Club\nForest Lane\,\nWalesby\,\nNewark\,\nNottinghamshire\,\nNG22 9PF \nRegistration \nRegistration opens at 05:40am and closes at 7:10am (90 Mins)\nRace briefing is at 7:10am \nThe 30.8 mile / 40.8 mile routes take a clockwise circular route on way marked paths with plentiful additional marking and Marshals present. \nFrom the hall you head out towards Sherwood Forest. Initially on some nice trail followed by some tough field edges (and sometimes water!) you reach the A614. Here the route uses a cycle path in Clumber Park near the Thoresby area which is the first real chance to open out the legs before arriving at Hazel Gap Aid Station. \nHere 40 milers cross the road to run an additional 10 miles in the forest which passes The Major Oak! The 30 milers continue without crossing to head towards Creswell Crags as do the 40’s upon their return to Hazel Gap.

Race Venue \nRace  HQ- The Gingerbread\, South Kesteven  Sports Stadium\,Trent Road\, Grantham \,NG31 7XQ.  \nRace director- Phil Garner 07803 713757 \nThe Fraction starts and finishes on the track inside the South Kesteven Sports Stadium. \n  \n2. Car Parking \nParking onsite at the Stadium and Meres leisure centre  \nAlso extra spaces at the far end of Gala Bingo opposite the Stadium. – see local signage on the day  \n  \n3. Fun Run \nFor the younger ones and those not so energetic there is The Little Apple Fun Run starting at 10:40 am.  \n  \n4. Refreshments \nRefreshments will be available during the day in the Gingerbread  with a licensed bar open from 12 noon. \n  \n5. Race Number/Chip Collection \nCollection desks in the Gingerbread  located on the upper floor of the main building  open from 8:30am. \n  \n6. Facilities \nToilets are located in the main building and at either ends of the grandstands. \nPlease use the toilets in the grandstands to avoid queues in the main building \nChanging and showers are available in the main building.  \nThere is also a small baggage store. Luggage labels will be issued . Please attach the label to the bag. The organisers do not accept responsibility for the contents of the bag. \nLincolnshire Runner will have a trade stall in the foyer. \nSports massage will be available in the Gingerbread – donations to our chosen charity \n7. Race Number \nPlease ensure that you secure it to the front of your running vest or top. \nIf you have a medical condition please give details on the back of the number. If you feel unwell before the race\, or have not been well for a few days prior to the event\, please do not start.  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n\n 8. Chip Timing \nPlease fix your timing chip securely to your shoelaces using the cable tie and pull tight to secure.  \nTo ensure you have threaded the cable tie the correct way\, pull the chip and see if it comes away from the shoelace. \n  \n9. The Race \nThe race will commence at precisely 10.30 am.  \nPlease race on the left hand side of the road unless otherwise instructed by the Traffic Management Services(TMS)\, Police or course marshals. Please be aware of other users on the canal path\,show courtesy and respect and do not impede or block the path. \nPlease take care when running by the water and when passing under the bridges. \nFor the safety of runners and other road users\, the wearing of headphones (unless medically prescribed) during the race is not permitted on single carriageway roads not wholly closed to traffic. \n(UKA Competition rule 240 S5) \n10. Drink Stations \nWater stations en route will be at approximately 3½\,5¾\, 8 and 10¾ miles and also at the finish. \n  \n11. Medical \nThere will be medical support on the course and at the Stadium.  \nIf you feel unable to complete the course\, please wait with a marshal.  \n  \n12. Finish \nOn entering the stadium run around the track to the finish gantry. \nPlease move along the funnel\, return your timing chip and then collect your goody bag and t/shirt.  \n  \n13. Chip Collection \nThere will be a team helping to remove chips at the finish. If you do not finish please hand your chip to the nearest marshal or post it back to us. \n  \n14. Prizes \nPrizes will be presented from about 12:30 pm                                      \n15. Results \nResults will be posted on the web site and www.chiptiminguk.co.uk \n16.  Cancellation \nIn the event of adverse weather conditions under which it is deemed unsafe to run the race\, the event will be cancelled.  Race Director’s decision is final.
