DESCRIPTION:Saxilby 5k Road Race and Childrens 2k Fun Run\nThe race starts and finishes at St Andrews Community Centre\, Saxilby\, LN1 2LP. \nFree parking is available at Saxilby Church of England Primary School\, Highfield Road and Mill Lane Playing Fields\, which are both accessed off Mill Lane and are near to the start/finish. \nSaxilby also has a Train Station and is on a bus route. \nThere will be first aid provision on the course and at the start/finish of the race. The course is marshaled by qualified staff with the support of a voluntary group from Lincolnshire. There will be a road closure order enforced prior to and during the race. \nToilets are provided at St Andrews Community Centre\, Memorial Playing Fields. \nA baggage area is provided at St Andrews Community Centre \nYou should collect your race pack/number at the venue on the day at the event. Please arrive in good time. \n  \n5k Race Information\nThe 5k is a flat traffic free course with water stations at the start/finish and at the 2.5k point. \nThe maximum number of runners is 500 adults and there will be bespoke medals for all finishers. There will be trophies to the 1st\, 2nd and 3rd male and female runners to finish the Saxilby 5k. \nThe 5k race will be electronically timed by ChiptimingUK and all results will be available on the website the same day as the race. \nThe Saxilby 5k Roadrace is registered with UK Athletics permit number: 2017 – 26502

Wednesday 6th September          7137 metres \n  \nPlease note ALL athletes competing in all of the Senior Categories must be 16yrs of age by the date of the first race. \nAny athlete who is 15yrs of age but not yet 16yrs by the date of the first race & wishes to compete in the road races can only compete in the first & last race & will not receive any points. \nJunior Categories – Boys and Girls \nAges as of the 1st race on 10th May 2017 & all U9’s must be 7yrs old on the date of the 1st race in May. \nUnder 9’s   1 lap                                          1200 metres \nUnder 11’s   2 laps                                        2210 metres \nUnder 13’s   3 laps                                         3220 metres \nUnder 15’s   4 laps*                                      4230 metres \nUnder 17’s   5 laps *                                      5240 metres \n(*These races available for those Juniors not wishing to compete on the road & take points) \nPlease note – junior races are run on a course suitable for spikes \nEntry Fees: Senior Categories – Affiliated £3 – Non-affiliated £5  Junior Categories – £2 \nALL RACES TO BE ENTERED ON THE NIGHT \nDeclaration Form to be completed and submitted on the night of your first race. \nThere will be a supply of forms available on the night for completion. \nPoints to be awarded after each fixture. \nTo qualify for overall awards 4 races must be completed. (If you compete in all 5 races the best 4 results will count & where you have athletes on equal points the 1st prize will be awarded to the person having won the most races). \nNote: Louth AC members must complete in at least 3 races to be eligible for the Mayors Trophy Handicap race.
