The routes take in the scenic rural countryside of Nottinghamshire using a combination of the two main local waterway tow paths; The ‘Cuckoo Way’ (Chesterfield Canal), ‘Trent Valley Way’ (River Trent).
The route is a 31 mile. It is one full lap.
Distance: 30 Miles
The nature of the event follows the tranquil and scenic waterways most of the way so this also keeps navigation simple. It has a real cross country feel at times in remote areas given the nature of the River Trent flood bank which makes this route so varied and different to many other trail races.
90% Trail with only some minor roads/tracks along the Trent Valley Way to link waterways. Be warned some of the flood bank running by the side of the Trent is rough underfoot providing a real challenge!
