About Us

Louth Athletic Club are a friendly athletics club based in Louth, Lincolnshire. We have members of all abilities from the occasional jogger to the competing athlete. We train throughout the year with road running, cross country as well as track and field events on the calendar.

Training for juniors starts from 6.00pm to 7.00pm on Monday evenings and 10.15am to 11.15am on Saturday mornings. For adult training sessions, please see the events calendar or the LAC Facebook page.

New members are welcome, just come along to a training evening and ask any member for details.

No one is left behind.

FAQS

How many members does the club have?

Our membership is made up of a mix of competitive, social and supporter members, including 63 competitive athletes who race and represent the club, 17 social athletes who train and run for enjoyment without competing, and 5 supporters who contribute by helping to run and support the club. The club has a balanced and inclusive membership, with a mix of male and female members and a wide age range spanning from junior runners as young as 8 to senior members in their 70s.

Whatis the difference between competitive and social athletes?

Louth AC is affiliated to England Athletics (EA). When you apply for or renew your membership of Louth AC we will automatically provide EA with your personal data which they will use to enable your access to an online portal called myAthletics. Your initial EA status will be as an unregistered, non-competitive, Social Athlete. Or, your status will be Not a current athlete if your membership with Louth AC is as a Supporter. However, you can choose to be registered as a Competitive Athlete with England Athletics (£23 fee). Amongst other things, this gives you a £2 discount on entry fees for all licensed road and multi-terrain events (off-track clubs only).

You are required to register as a Competitive Athlete with England Athletics if you wish to compete for the club in competitions under UKA Rules. But Juniors under 11 years old do not require EA registration to compete.

What is a supporter?

Louth AC is run by volunteers, many of whom do not run but support the club through helping at events or being on the committee or simply paying the supporter fee to help the club financially.

How much does it cost to join?
