ABP Humber Coastal Half Marathon and 5K 2018
Half Marathon
5 members of Louth AC competed in the coastal multi-terrain Half Marathon in a tough race on a breezy and warm, when the sun was shining, Sunday morning in the seaside town of Cleethorpes on 16th September 2018. There were 1320 finishers.
First home was Adam Dalton – Senior Men category who finished in 6th place and was a whisker away from a PB in an excellent time of 1 hour 14 mins 54 secs.
Ruth Edison – Female Veteran 45 hoping to run under 1 hour 50 minutes smashed her PB by 7 minutes to finish in a fantastic time of 1 hour 46 mins 58 secs in 322th place.
Clare Koslow – Female Veteran 45 just outside her PB of 5 years ago to finish in 661st under the 2 hour mark in 1 hour 59 mins 21 secs.
Shirley Willett – Female Veteran 50 ran a respectable time of 2 hours 02 mins 47 seconds to finish in 749th place.
Amanda Young – Female Veteran 50 ran a conservative race finishing 915th in 2 hours 10 mins and 17 secs.
Evie Brooks – Under 15 age category had an outstanding race in the flat fast 5K. Not only did Evie achieve a 5K PB by an incredible 46 seconds in 20 mins 22 secs, she was first female home beating off the runner-up, a Veteran 35 – Judith Broadbent of Lincoln Wellington AC 20 mins 39 secs and Senior runner – Nicole Peters City of Hull AC 21 mins 53 secs in 3rd place. Evie finished 17th overall out of 396 finishers.
