JAMES IN GREAT FORM!

James McNamee has had some excellent runs at the Boston Parkrun held at Witham Way Country Park, which was celebrating its 100th event on Saturday 16th September 2017.   James has completed in 10 Boston Parkruns from May to September achieving 6 Personal Bests (PBs) and all runs with top 3 placings.  1 x  3rd place, 2 x 2nd places and 7 x 1st places including the Saturday’s 100th event in a new PB time of 18 mins 14 secs.


James is taking on 2 major challenging events in the next month with the Berlin marathon on 24th September 2017 hoping for 2 hour 50-53 minute time and then to Wales 12-15 October 2017 to take part in a 250 mile non-stop race from Holyhead to Cardiff Bay down the centre of Wales, crossing several mountain ranges. The participants will follow Sustrans cycle route 8 all the way, with the last 55 miles along the ‘Taff Trail’, making this possibly the longest non-stop road ultra in the UK.

4 HALF MARATHONS FOR ANDY AND CLAIRE BYATT


Two members of Louth AC, Andy and Claire Byatt, are enjoying their  running and appear to have the bug for competing in Half marathons.   Both have completed in 4 Half Marathons so far this year in Leeds, Liverpool, Cleethorpes with the latest the ‘English Half Marathon’ in Warrington, Cheshire on Sunday 17th September 2017.

Claire has been consistent with her times and achieved 2 hours 13 mins 12 secs and Andy has improved his time by over 2 minutes from the previous half marathon to 1 hour 26 mins 26 secs.
