Lincolnshire Runner Cross Country League 2017/18
Podium finishes for Louth AC 3 individuals and 3 teams!
3 matches were completed: West Common, Lincoln (29/10/17), Castle Dyke Equestrian Centre, Boston (05/11/17) and Bourne Woods (19/11/17) with the 4th and final match at Belton House, Grantham (10/12/17) postponed and unfortunately never replaced. The final results therefore have been calculated from the 3 matches held for the overall league positions.
39 members competed in the league with 13 members competing in the 3 matches Final standings:
Under 11 Girls – Marla Bell (10th) and Tegan Philips (12th) with 14 runners. Under 15 Girls – Evie Odlin (6th) with 8 runners. Under 15 Boys – Caleb Stephenson (2nd) and Matthew Spendlove (4th) 8 runners.
Veteran Women – Kerry Stainton (2nd), Trudy Roberts (3rd), Alison McCoy (5th), Betty Gash (7th), Ruth Edison (9th) and Karen Moulding (17th) with 18 runners. Veteran Men – Kevin Wallis (9th) and Eddy Enright (14th) with 17 runners.

9 Louth AC members took to the competing on Sunday 25th March 2018 in varying distances at East Hull, Gainsborough and Normandy Hall.
The East Hull 20 – 2018
The re-arranged race by one week were ideal conditions for racing. Andy Byatt continued his preparation for the London Marathon on Sunday 22nd April 2018 ran a great race to finish 108th out of 405 runners in a fantastic time of 2 hours 28 min 58 secs. Jane Lammiman ran well to complete the 20 mile in a respectable 3 hours 53 min 31 secs finishing 385th place.
Gainsborough and Morton 10K
Betty Gash (Veteran 55) and Karen Moulding (Veteran 50) competed at this popular 10K. With ideal conditions for racing on a flat, fast rural road race, starting in Morton and taking in the villages of East Stockwith and Walkerith. Both veterans ran a good race, being around a minute outside their Personal Bests, and finishing in great positions.
Betty won the Female Veteran 55 race out of 25 age group runners. 46th female out of 380 and 227th of 751 overall runners. Chip time 48 min 48 secs.
Karen finished 18th out of 48 in the Veteran 50 age group runners. 157th female out of 380 and 440th of 751 overall runners. Chip time 57 min 45 secs.
Normandy Hall Adventure (Obstacle) Race
5 members took on the challenge of this legendary event, over 10.2K of cross country horse course with around 40 horse obstacles to tackle, (twice), plus water, mud, sand, crawl nets and jumps. Kevin Wallis, Trudy Roberts, Jane Cope, Kerry Stainton and Kevin Houghton all had great fun and finished together in 1 hour 18 mins 25/26 seconds.
Doncaster AC Spring Open
There was one member who travelled to the Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster for the first Track and Field outdoor competition of the 2018 season on Saturday 31st March 2018. Under 15 Girls – Kandi Austin who was rewarded with a Personal Best in the 800m by over 1 second as she finished 5th in a time of 3 min.09.03. She also came 7th over 100m 16.76 and 14th in the Long Jump after a best leap of 2.89m.
