Louth AC article 9th September 2018

Louth AC juniors have had an excellent Track and Field season and still with the opportunity to compete in 5 more Open events at Hull, Wakefield, Scunthorpe, Boston and Grimsby in September before the end of season.

The last team event in July for the Under 13 and Under 15 juniors saw all 15 Louth AC competitors achieve one or more Personal Bests at the UK Development League lower age group in Cleckheaton and finish 3^rd in the league event with some quality individual performances, behind City of York AC and Scunthorpe & District AC.  With 21 top 3 individual placings (4 x first places, 11 x 2^nd places and 6 x 3^rd places).   The 4 Winners –  Evie Kendrick 75m, Evie Brooks 1500m, Freya Plaskitt 1500m and Matthew Spendlove Javelin. Exciting relays – Under 13 and 15 Girls 4 x 100m relay and Under 15 Girls 4 x 300m.

Outstanding performances of the day in the track events: Matthew Spendlove  U15 Boys 1500m 2^nd PB by 11 seconds and Adela Mills Under 13 Girls 800m 2^nd PB by 10 seconds.         In the field events: Under 15 Girls Caitlin Miller  Hammer PB by nearly 3 metres and Discus PB by 59 cms.  Under 15 Girls  Matilda Mossop Javelin PB by 4 metres and Shot PB by 82 cms.  Under 13 Boys Redford Bramley  Long Jump PB by 51 cm.
