Louth AC – Article w/c 25 June 2018
Louth AC members have been competing in various events across the region over track, road and trail towards the end of June, with the Anglian Schools Track and Field Championships at Norwich, UK Youth Development League Lower league North East 2 Track and Field at Scunthorpe. Click’em Inn 10 mile road race at Swinhope, Boston & District AC Tommy Clay Development League Track and Field series at Boston, Round Sheffield Run and the Cancer Research Run for Life Louth 2018 5K event.
Anglian Schools Championships
4 members represented Lincolnshire County on Saturday 16th June 2018 at the Anglian Schools Championships.
Caleb Stephenson finished 5th in the U17 men 800m in a fantastic PB, by nearly 4 seconds, in 2 min 04 secs. The Odlin twins in the Under 17 Women with an 800m win for Evie in 2 min 22.5 seconds and sister Ellie competing in the 300m crossed the line with two other athletes but missed out on second place by 2 hundredth of a second finishing 4th in 44.8 seconds. Both had brilliant races.
Isabelle Dhami ran in a non-scoring Under 17 Women 1500m Steeplechase whose excellent time of 6 min 05.1 seconds placed her second in the main race.
Click’em Inn 10 mile race
The mid-week run was held on Wednesday 20th June 2018 at Swinhope near Grimsby. Ruth Edison and Clare Koslow ran together and finished in a respectable time of 1 hour 30 minutes and 24 seconds 71st and 72nd respectively out of 92 runners.
