Press Release

Louth Athletic Club is among 324 local sports projects to secure a share of £17 million of National Lottery funding from Sport England’s Inspired Facilities fund.

Since 2011, Inspired Facilities has been helping breathe new life into tired community sports facilities and converting existing buildings into venues suitable for grassroots sport.

Louth Athletic Club will receive £50,000 of Nation Lottery funding through an Inspired Facilities Grant to level its London Road ground and to install an all weather eight lane running track. The Athletic club has helped thousands of young people into sport over the last 30 years and this money will enable the club to continue to encourage many more to take up athletics. The project includes reinstating the long jump, discus circle and cage, shot putt circle and to provide Louth Old Boys football club with another much needed football pitch.
